"The Modern LP" is the first full-length US CD release from sparkling British electro-pop purveyors Matinee Club. If you think The Human League meets The Killers with Gwen Stefani as a lead singer, you've pretty much got Matinee Club down. "The Modern LP" is mostly a compilation of tracks released by the band when they were a five-piece called The Modern. Now down to three (lovely vocalist Emma Cooke and synth players Chi-Tudor-Hart and Nathan Cooper), the band have essentially collected their singles from their era as The Modern and addded a few new tracks. Amazon also has an mp3 download version with bonus tracks. The track listing below refers to the CD version of the album.
