Jill began playing guitar and singing when she was 12 years old and got her first nylon string guitar. After playing and singing for years, she finally started writing her own songs in the spring of 2003. Now she has recorded her first collection of songs, Lucky Girl, an eclectic mix of rocking roots and folk-rock ballads, inspired by her life, her loves, and her politics. Her clear and emotive vocal sound has already been compared to Natalie Merchant, Carly Simon, and Shawn Colvin.
