Cherry Ghost is a British indie rock band led by Simon Aldred.
The band's Myspace states that they have been "inspired by the haunting meloncholy of acts such as Sparklehorse, Smog, Johnny Cash and the ceaseless hope to be found at the heart of this Northern landscape." The name 'Cherry Ghost' is a lyric taken from the song "Theologians" by Wilco.
Thirst For Romance is the debut album by Cherry Ghost. It was recorded at Ape Studios in Cheshire. The first single, "Mathematics," was released on April 9, 2007, while the second single "People Help The People" is set for release on June 25, 2007, just two weeks ahead of the album's release date. The album will be released on CD, double vinyl LP, and digital download.
