Green Peppers is the solo project of former Soup Dragons and Superstar guitarist Jim McCulloch. He was also in the original line-up of the BMX Bandits. "This is really a vehicle for me to record and perform with friends...songs that I've kind of had swirling around in my head for a couple of years", says Jim.
"There's no fixed line-up for the band, but hopefully I'll always find someone who enjoys playing beautiful music to join in with me". "Honest Injun" is a bright and breezy, simple love song featuring Del Amitri's Justin Currie on lead vocals (always great to hear Justin's voice). It combines a ridiculously catchy melody with heartfelt lyrics.
Some beautifully placed pedal steel guitar adds texture. Backing vocal contributions come from Isobel Campbell (Belle & Sebastian) and Daniel Wylie (Cosmic Rough Riders), on these fiercely original and exquisite tracks that highlight Jim's control of light and shade in a tune, as well as his growing reputation as one of Scotland's finest song writers and artists in demand! For fans of Superstar, NOM, Teenage Fanclub, and of course, Del Amitri.
