September is the stage name of Swedish singer Petra Marklund, born 1984. In 2003, at the age of 18, she had her first hit in Sweden with "la La La (Never Give It Up)", which reached number 8 in homeland Sweden. The single was followed by "We Can Do It", which became her second top 10 hit. As result of these two singles, her debut album was recorded and released in February 2004, along with the next and third single off the album, "September All Over", which reached the number 8 position too. It then stayed quite around September, until she broke the silence around her by releasing "Satellites", first single from the second album In Orbit, which became her biggest hit to date.
